Students of IEER (Environmental Engineering and Environmental Sciences programs) organized an event to welcome and congratulate Dr. Mehwish Anis on her appointment as Director, IEER. Students cherished the moment and expressed their confidence that she will lead the Institute to new heights.
Dr. Mehwish joined the Institute in 2009, bringing with her valuable industrial experience. With her extensive involvement in academic and administrative affairs, she has consistently played a pivotal role in promoting academic excellence. As Program Head of Environmental Engineering, she successfully led the accreditation of the BSc Environmental Engineering program for three consecutive sessions.
In her address, Dr. Mehwish congratulated Prof. Dr. Amir Ikhlaq on successful completion of his tenure as Director IEER. Dr. Mehwish reaffirmed her commitment to further enhancing the Institute’s growth and academic standing in her new role as Director. She shared her vision to strengthen industry-academia linkages, revive the Institute’s legacy of excellence, foster deeper connections with alumni and restore its international recognition which completely resonates with UET’s mission. She also emphasized the importance of positivity and teamwork in achieving collective success. She assures students of support for their academic, personal, and professional development.
